Healthy Living Projects Ltd is a Charity operating out of the Ilford High Road Baptist Church meeting the needs of the local community.

The writer was formerly a Director of HLP but now operates as Line Manager to the General Manager of HLP.

Drug Counselling

The Pre School play group and the Young inspirations are activities typical of many churches within the area.

The language link provides a platform for those seeking to learn English and builds relationships into the local community. Both male and female clients avail themselves of the service.

The Welcome Centre is a new venture which provides day centre resources for those seeking help and covers areas such as asylum seekers, refugees, unemployed and families in need who may be living in bed and breakfast accommodation. The centre provides facilities for personal hygiene and offers meals for those in need. In its first months of operation, the centre dealt with over 100 clients from 21 countries of origin.
